Good Friday to you all. It’s my weigh in day! I lost 2.4 pounds this week! I’m thrilled. I had a couple of rough days but had more good days than bad. I’m feeling good. I also lost a Point from my daily allowance. That’s a win and also a worry! One less Point per day? Ack!!

Best meal I ate this week? Pork chops with a sweet & spicy rub. Pinterest link below. So good. Rub per chop is 1 point. I’ve also used it on chicken thighs.

Off to run on the treadmill. I’m half-heartedly training to run the Pittsburgh Marathon Relay. I have about a 5 mile segment and I’m not nearly worried enough. It’s not even close to my longest run at my running peak (half marathon) but I still need to train. I’ve not run much in the last year so I’m starting from scratch. I’m on week 4 day 2 of the Couch to 10k.

I had a tough afternoon at work. I’m so busy this time of year that I can barely breathe . Or eat. Or not scream at people.

After a fairly reasonable dinner,  it all went to hell. First, a popsicle. Then, just a handful of animal crackers. Then, another handful. Then, I made a mixing bowl full of popcorn and ate 90% of it myself. Not cool. At least it has fiber.

Back on track tomorrow and no evening floury carbs. They are the death of me. I’ll need to have 2 perfect days to have a decent weigh-in on Friday morning.

I need to get through these weeks at work, get afternoon execise to burn off the nervous energy that I come hone with and stay out if the kitchen after dinner. I already have three meals planned for tomorrow, I just need to avoid evening snacks. Luck and wishes accepted…

I’m part of @Influenster. They send me free products, I review them and then they send me more free products! It’s one of my favorite relationships. I got a bunch of @freemanbeauty masks a week or so ago and have been trying them out with my daughter.

Tonight I tried the Coffee and Chai paper eye mask. I HATED it while it was on. It felt wet and slimy. But now…. ooo la la! My skin around my eyes looks smooth and feels so soft and nice!

I’ve also tried Charcoal and Black Sugar Polishing Mask. Really nice! A little clumpy to put on, but smelled great, warms on your skin and left my skin feeling soft and smooth.

And finally I tried the Cucumber Peel-Off Mask. Eh. It really took me back to my teenage years, but that nostalgia is the best thing I can say about it. It made my skin feel dry and I didn’t like the scent. It’s fun to peel off, but next time I want to peel something, I’ll just pour Elmer’s glue on my hand.

Two more masks to try:
Avocado and Oatmeal Clay Mask
Honeydew and Chamomile Sleeping Mask

Reviews coming soon….

Smoothies are my favorite breakfast. I can get a ton of fruit plus usually the only dairy that  I get throughout the day. Today’s combo is heavier than usual because I added avocado. I used 2/3 c avocado, 2 c frozen mixed fruit, 1/2 c ff vanilla yogurt and 1 1/2 c of unsweetened vanilla almond milk. So good and creamy. 6 points.

Yesterday was ok. I took a spinning class and ran week 4 day 1 of the Couch to 10k as part of my training for the upcoming marathon relay.

We ate barbecue for dinner. I had a brisket and pulled pork sandwich and only ate half of the bun, baked beans and, the kiss of death, cornbread.  I should’ve skipped the cornbread but I couldn’t resist it. Ate watermelon at home for dessert and a few Savannah Smiles GS cookies, but just a few rather than the whole box. I say accomplishment.

On to a normally tough day: dinner at my parent’s. Hope to report a
good day  tomorrow.

Well hello there, blog. I’m back after a long hiatus and a great return to being obese. I have rejoined WW for about the 8th time and am struggling each day through it. I’m here today to renew my committment, to go public again and ultimately to relose 40 pounds.

Current photo posted above… time to get rid of that roll around my middle. I would also likr to be able to wear the collection of size 10, 12 and maybe even size 8 dresses that I have in my closet.  See you tomorrow.

Collecting myself

Friday is the 1st day of my Weight Watchers week. I’m missing my meeting but planning for a week where I stay within my points and get my exercise. I need it after the last couple week of funeral food and being sick. Time to start feeling better.

Getting through trick or treat will be tough, plus a friend is coming to town and we’re going to dinner. I think we’re going to Emiliano’s, a great Mexican restaurant. Tough place to eat for a WW, but if I can figure it out, the rest of the week should be less complex.

Back to normal exercise this week too. A few 3 mile runs to get back to normal, plus judo. I’m running the Greensburg Turkey Trot in 3 weeks. Gonna do it in less than 30 mins (a record for me.)

Food plan: soup and fruit for lunch at work all week (my usual for this time of year) plus actual cooked dinners at home (lean meat, veg, maybe baked potatoes…)

Encouragement welcome, thank you!

Quick Catch-up Post

It has been about 3 weeks since my last post. I’ve been very busy with work, taking judo and an occasional cross fit class, along with prepping to run the aforementioned 10K. I’ve managed to lose 3 pounds that I had gained in one week and ran my 10K in 60:48, a personal record by 4:40 and a very good time.

I am not having the greatest week thus far, but will recover in time for Friday’s weigh in, at which I hope to be down at least one pound.

I’m now registered for the Pittsburgh Marathon, my first attempt at one. I’ve run races of all the other typical distances: 5K, 10K, half marathon and I’ll be running a 5 mile Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving.

And now you’re caught up!
